Our Care

In-Patient Care
at Bobby’s Hospice

When care at home has become too difficult to manage, Bobby’s Hospice is here to provide compassionate, 24-hour in-patient palliative care in a comfortable, home-like setting. Our care team focuses on comfort, dignity, and quality of life for individuals and their loved ones during the end-of-life journey.

Admissions

Admissions to Bobby’s Hospice can be:

  • From the community, through discussion with their health care provider.
  • From the hospital, coordinated via a consult to the Palliative Care Service.
  • The Extra-Mural Program often coordinates community-based referrals to avoid unnecessary ER or hospital visits.

Admissions are triaged through a collaborative process involving our Medical Director, Hospice on-call physician and our Director of Nursing, ensuring timely and appropriate access to care.

Recreation Services
Our recreation program offers individually tailored support to help patients stay engaged in the activities they enjoy. This can include providing materials for independent participation or spending time at the bedside, facilitating activities such as reading aloud, playing games, or crafting. We also support meaningful legacy projects, working one-on-one with patients and their families to create lasting memories. Our goal is to help patients remain active, connected, and engaged for as long as they wish, in ways that are meaningful to them.
