Clinical Staff:

Our team of trained and experienced palliative physicians, nurses and support workers provide expert pain and symptom management and compassionate, skilled care and support 24-hours a day to patients and families admitted to Bobby’s Hospice.

Volunteers:

Our trained volunteers provide valuable non-medical support services such as serving meals, taking patients outside, playing games, running errands, sitting with loved ones, playing music, etc.

Support:

Our spiritual care and grief support services help patients and families cope with the end-of-life journey and saying goodbye to loved ones.

Home Away From Home:

Our cooks prepare delicious, home-made meals and our full-time housekeeper and maintenance staff keep our home clean and in excellent condition.

Our Community Partners:

We also have a number of valued community partners that work with us to deliver excellent patient care and family support at Bobby’s Hospice: family physicians, local clergy, Extra-Mural, Palliative Care Unit, Hospice Palliative Care Outreach Services and Shoppers Drug Mart on Crown Street.

Bobby's Hospice
has earned a stellar community reputation and has become a preferred place of care for patients and families on the end of life journey.
Our residential hospice is called Bobby’s Hospice to honour Catherine (Bobby) Lawson, a 20-year Hospice volunteer who made a significant donation to Hospice prior to her death in 2006, to enable the organization to purchase a stand-alone Hospice House, and begin the journey of establishing Atlantic Canada’s first Residential Hospice.
